The new weekly domain sales report is out at DNJournal.com. Sedo's GreatDomains.com premium auction site runs a week-long sale once a month and a fresh batch of completed transactions from that high end venue dominates our all extension Top 40 sales chart this week. As we always do when a wave of special event sales comes in, we doubled the length of the usual 20-position all-extension leader board to insure results from the everyday venues are not overlooked.

GreatDomains piled up 16 chart entries, including the top name and six of the first eight. Their parent company, Sedo.com, also flexed their muscles by bagging 19 chart positions with sales from their daily platform. That gave the GreatDomains/Sedo juggernaut 35 of 44 positions overall (the extra spots resulted from a five-way tie for the final position).

Five country code domains broke through .com’s dominance of the Big Board (.com took 32 of 40 positions) while non .com global TLDs (a .net and two .orgs) claimed the three remaining openings. You can get all of the details here: http://www.dnjournal.com/domainsales.htm

Sorry Dominator, that's not really interesting.

What's interesting is the fact that when I clicked on the same exact link yesterday, recording.com was listed as selling for $5600.. And Interiors.com was listed as selling for $7500..

What's most interesting however, is the fact that both names are no longer listed under the same link in the DNjournal weekly sales list.... Both sales reports are completely gone today. They just vanished into thin air from yesterday.....

hmmm

I did, yesterday.. And he emailed me back within minutes stating that he bought the name for $70,000 and turned down offers of $100,000.

I can put up a screenshot of his reply after my initial enquiry on the name.

Also, what about recording.com for $5600 being deleted from DNJournal as well ?

Again, hmmm. Fishy stuff indeed.

That's all I have to say.

Sedo implemented a new domain sale reporting tool this week that pulled results from their GreatDomains premium site into the list of completed sales they send to various news outlets. A bug in that tool resulted in about two dozen GreatDomains listings that did not meet reserve being pulled into their master list and shown as sold at the last bid price. Within an hour of those being listed the error was discovered and the bad data was removed shortly thereafter. A notice was placed at the top of the page notifying readers of what happened and was left up for 24 hours.

Hi Duke.

Thanks for the report.
I noticed a mistake/typo in the first #39 spot. The domain is CasinoJeux.com not CasionoJeux.com ;)
