I'm trying to decide between two websites I'd like to start. One is for the "work at home" market and is workathome[a strong ending word), and the other is for the "longevity/life extension/antiaging" market and is a strong domain name with the word Longevity in it. I'd put a lot of effort into either site with lots original content added daily. Revenue would be from advertising and affiliates.

"Work at home" has a OVT of about 60,000 and "longevity" about 1,400. It would seem like a nobrainer, except that there is MUCH more competition in the Work at Home area, and tons of spammy sites. In the longevity area there is not nearly as much competition. So, which is a better bet and for what reason?

longevity has a better association with "e-d" (erectile dysfunction) related products, than with life-extending or antiaging products.

"work at home" is a crowded field and more users of the same keywords means lower bids

imo..."e-d" and antiaging products are the best routes to go with

I appreciate the reply, but longevity has absolutely nothing to do with e-d. It's about life extension. I think you are taking the "long" out of longevity and making some assumpions. :)

have you read any of the viagra or it's cousins ads lately

they all talk or mention "longetivity", and it's relationship to "more time" to engage

Thanks for letting me know. I guess there's one more aspect of longevity for me then. :)

I was curious, so I checked Wikipedia:

The word longevity is sometimes used as a synonym for "life expectancy" in demography. However, this is not the most popular or accepted definition.[1] For the general public as well as writers, the word generally connotes 'long life', especially when it concerns someone or something lasting longer than expected (an 'ancient tree', for example).

Reflections on longevity have usually gone beyond acknowledging the basic shortness of human life and have included thinking about methods to extend life. Longevity has been a topic not only for the scientific community but also for writers of travel, science fiction and utopian novels. There are many difficulties in authenticating the longest human lifespan ever, due to inaccurate birth statistics; though fiction, legend, and mythology have proposed or claimed vastly longer lifespans in the past or future and longevity myths frequently allege them to exist in the present.
