Is there a holding period requirement similar to the one imposed by ICANN before an .asia domain can be transferred?

i dont know, but have an additional question to post.

in godaddy, i want to change a .asia to a friend in japan (that is sitting right next to me). he also has a godaddy account and im simply changing the owner information. it said "cannot perform such action on this Tld"...

what do we need to do?

and yea,

is there a holding period within and outside a registar?

Could you check with GoDaddy and share with us what you learned? tia

cant at the moment as im at work and its long-distant for me. Ill send an email.

All holding periods are the same for all gTLD, nothing else with dotAsia.

For domains assigned enduring the landrush you can't modify the domain for 60 days as written in the email you got from the registry after they assigned the name to you.
