I just got flooded with emails from godaddy. It appears their monitoring software just hiccuped and sent out an email for every domain that i'm watching for changes. No changes are listed in the emails, all data (new and old) is still the same.

Did someone break something? I assume others will be flooded as well.

Upon checking the emails, I see what may have caused this. In one example it shows
The domain name servers have been changed:
OLD: NS1.EVERYDNS.NET
NS2.EVERYDNS.NET
NEW: NS2.EVERYDNS.NET
NS1.EVERYDNS.NET

Perhaps the reversed order caused the software to toss out all these emails? This happened in every one of my emails, and maybe two of those domains are on the same host with the same dns. it's not just a random occurrance.

Verisign made a small change to their WHOIS format. If the change isn't significant, I wouldn't worry about it. It shouldn't have an effect on anything.
