Hopefully it's more real than those Communicate.com "sales".

Must be a Platinum card :) Pool needs to be more careful with pre-credit card verification. I could bid $500,000 under the current system for the fun of it with phony credit card details.

SICK SICK SICK (If I were the Snap holder)

Jesus. Probably a legit bid too the way the market has been rising on the auctions, and slowly with retail sales.

I think the bid is for real - Check the whois in a day or so - This one will suprise you. We had a client that wanted it real bad and it jumped $106K in 3 minutes while we were watching it. The proxy bid that won was $150K. This is good news for our industry!!!

Yes, it's definitely real.

Tuition for culinary schools can be expensive, so 2 or 3 student tuitions will likely be enough to pay for it.

Not nearly as bad as the poor schmuck who let this name drop and got NOTHING for it!

I've always wanted to see (just for a second) what the people who owned these domains are doing right at the second the domain drops... then I would like to tell them how much the name was picked up. No... that would be cruel.

Most likely less.

I think it has become evident that pool is offering its registrars a large rev share portion.

Yes, there is a revenue sharing process in place.
