I got that in the first wave.

Common for gays in the US ? Is that word used a lot ? I know gays.us is worth much more.. but still ? Any opinions ?

Thanks; Marco

Its an offensive term for gays. It is short for homosexuals but is often used in a derogatory manner. Can definitely be used but gays, gay, homosexuals and, although derogatory, homo, would be better. Good luck.

Hi Tee-

Well, not so good. Derogatory word won´t be good for a site for gays, I guess. Well, I got that one for registration fees, so I guess I just gonna keep it. Thanks for your opinion.

It's not super derogatory marco - it can be used. Make a niche site - for the aggressive gay person who is very proud or something. Its not a bad name.

Ok, I got it. Well - I think I keep that one and wait. I´m not into this business anyhow, so I think I´ll sell that one some day. Thanks a lot, Regards Marco

I agree with Tee here on at least two points! Plus ... it is still only an unproven ".US"!
Good Luck.

; ) Proud of it . Yes, that sounds fine. All depends on how you make it look - that we know : www.artikel8.com ! ;) I´ll see how things work out for that domain.

Thanks , & greetings from Germany, Marco

I can see that dropping next year. Unless you sell it to a fundamental bible thumping organization :D

When using a "gay" name, it would normally attract Gays. Using a "gay" slang would probably stary Gays away. (They would most likely be your biggest Viewers....

Actually neither. We got that domain in the first wave, and I ordered it at register.com because that was one of the free names. I thought it was worth the registration fee. But our agency ís not into erotic and not into gay erotic. And me personally ? Well I am not gay. And I am not american for that matter, so I didn´t quite know wether the name homos would be appropriate to sell for a gay site. Probably isn´t, judging your comments..

Regards, Marco

Ok, I got it. Then we do it with "Deutsche Bundespost", the german version of Fed-ex ;) Ok, I think we should end this thread; it´s getting silly (Monty Phyton ;))

Cheers, Marco
