The new weekly domain sales report is out at DNJournal.com. The week started with several reports of solid sales increases for 2Q-2010 vs. the previous quarter and the same quarter a year ago (our own data showed a 38% jump in dollar volume over 2Q-2009 and a 26% rise from 1Q-2010). So how did buyers respond to the good news? By taking a bit of a break! The 20 positions on our weekly all extension Top 20 Chart are almost always filled with names that have sold for at least five figures and often include two or three that sold for six or even seven figures. This week only 13 reported sales cracked the five-figure mark and none reached six figures. One, a nice 2-letter .com came close though. The ccTLDs also bucked the trend with another solid week.
