Arab connection yes but I don't see "Saudi Arabia" connection in all of them at all.

Name is short, it starts with an "a", it refers to some of the richest people in the world BUT . . . it's a hot political potato [/B]

What makes you think having such a broadly generic name is a "hot political potato"; Its just like having "Indian" or "American" or "African".

Potential valuation? Today vs. eventually?

Depends on the buyer; not less than $2K, imo.....on the other end, sky is the limit...!!
Do not want to sell to an enemy of US. How to safely sell? Read between the lines. I have received an inquiry. At this point I am doing nothing.

One again, what in the world makes you think on these lines. Either you've some sort of gross misunderstanding about the name and its significance or you've a pretty strong touch of paranoia. There's nothing wrong with the name or selling it to any interested party....I for one, can't see at all how it'd be against the interests of US to sell this name to anyone who's willing to pay for it....Good Luck & Take it Easy...:) :)

One thing I will never do - register any domain valuable dot com Americans or any other country related domain, just my own Arabia - but that is just me :)

I Really do not mind you owning the domain - I did not even try for dot info or .US or ect - and if it you did not register them some one else would have anyway - even lil old me ;)

The one thing I have against the word Arabia is that it is English - we spell it other wise but the Engtlsih spelling is more popular ;)

2) Do not want to sell to an enemy of US. How to safely sell?

I would not buy it from you for $10 - but my wife and kids are American, NewYorkers to - Brooklyn Italians to :)

And yes I am Saudi, enemy to no one.

Even if you sell it to an American how do you know they are not an enemy of the U.S.? What if you had sold a domain name to Tim McVeigh? I don't think it is anything you need to be worried about. Actually I wish our enemies would all get web sites so we could keep an eye on what they're up to!

Hello DotComster:
One thing I will never do - register any domain valuable dot com Americans or any other country related domain, just my own Arabia - but that is just me.

I appreciate your view. It will suprise you to know I share those feelings. I deliberately tried to NOT get this name. Many months before the landrush II I drew up a substantial list of "desired" dot info names. Later, when I took a good look at my list (we all come up with ill-advised names late at night) I quickly removed ARAB.INFO since I considered it inappropriately opportunistic considering world events as they are developing. When the landrush was over I received many good names such as CLICK.INFO, SEND.INFO, YOUR.INFO, DENTIST.INFO . . but did not discover I had ARAB.INFO until several months later when I received a letter from the registrar inquiring about DNS settings etc. Apparently I had submitted my original list to that registrar before "editing" out ARAB.INFO. I am not happy to have this name, but now consider it pehaps better that I own it than others. I will not sell to any entity whose motives could only be fueled by hatred. I will try to see to it that it eventually falls into the hands of a responsible appropriate entity.

No problem Skylark, really. I really could have register them but chose not to. If I find a buyer for the domain I'll send them your way to.

DryHeat - I ment that I can register some dot coms that I think better not register - ok? I do it for fun only, not out to harm anyone in any way.

>>>2) Do not want to sell to an enemy of US. How to safely sell?<<<

If you're so concerned about 'the enemy' getting the name, why are you even considering selling it? My suggestion to you regarding Arab.info if you have such fears: Sit on it!

For example: My hubby DotComster registers and holds quite a few dot coms just so that no one will turn them into porno sites. He has even given some away to those he knows for sure won't turn them into porno sites.

Peace,
Basmah
