With most ebay home auctions I've browsed, the seller is not necessarily obligated to sell at the high bid.
Regardless, it seems that Michigan economy is already in a depression.

And to think. These are the kind of "assets" we'll be buying with the bailout plan.

Maybe it was a divorce thing. Spouse received half of what house sold for.

House could have had termite damage or other bug infestation, or foundation issues. Just looking at the exterior i see at least 10k in repairs, and interior is probably no better. Housing market is probably more depressed in Saginaw than the average. Has back taxes and maybe license and inspection violations. Buyer may actually lose money on this one with taxes and holding costs. Either way its a fun headline.

Nice!

That's an ugly home....

I think it's kinda cute! Would be perfect out in the country somewhere.. Would need some cleaning up, but the house itself isn't so bad..

I think it would make a nice Hotel maybe , could get about 20 rooms in
there at a pinch. $1.57 a night and profit made.
