You know what this board needs added to our info in the side bar is stats on our level of income or profit made from domain, parking and domain sales, and our level of knowledge and portfolio size. Because really if you haven't made any money in this industry your opinion on pretty much any of this domain related matter is worth crap!

We have a bunch of people putting their two cents in many of which have no clue as to what they are talking about or think they are experts when they buy a name for $6.95 and sell it for $500 a few times a year. Or that make $200 a year parking their crappy LLLL-LLLL.net names. and have a whopping portfolio of 50 names. And in their ignorance they also put down peoples names and asking prices due to their lack of knowledge and for sight.

Now I am not putting down newbies but I want be able to see where this person is at so I can consider the source of these opinions.

Just a thought.

Thanks for the suggestion, I think many members want to keep this info private, I don't see us adding this feature and requiring people to fill it out. Consider the source of what you are reading and take some time to get to know your fellow members of the community by reading their old posts and their feedback, etc. If anything, you can place the info in your signature if you want people to get to know you better. Regards

I understand where your coming from, but posting everyone's income or portfolio with proof to back it up is not the answer, besides it's not going to happen for a number of reasons I wont get into.

If you hang around here long enough you can figure out who the successful and knowledgeable people are, Who to listen too and who not.... If your given advice, it's a good idea to go into the members post history and read her/his other posts.

Of course people could lie about it, then it turns the whole mess into a joke.

Consider age, time around the forum and the net, account level, feedback ratings and knowledge instead of some faked income numbers.

Anyone that's been around in this part of the Bizzz knows who to listen to and
who not to.
Like me I've been doing this over 5 years now but I buy alot & don't sell many.

I also have quite a few great LLLL nets parked and if I make my renewal fee on
them I'm happy, to me it's a good investment and LLLL coms will reach a point
Traders will price all but a few to where they're not sellable to a buyer.

Last I read over 85% of LLLL coms aren't used for websites so they're just
being passed between traders.

But like everyone on any Forum, NOBODY is right all the time so I read what others
say and use my head and make up my own mind what to do..

The best way to find out if the person knows what he or she is talking about is to sell all of his or her posts -- you can get a feeling from reading one or more posts of the person about it.

I don't ever see any Big Player in this game make public all domains in portfolio.
Domainers move in silence.
