So I'm really undecided about a domain I own, which perfectly describes a profitable niche.

The domain has to do with ipod touch, and includes the keyword in it. And I know Apple is not one of the companies you mess with...

I was wondering how bad it is to develop it into a niche store, for some quick blackhat profits? Or is it totally not worth it? Would Apple come after me if I used it for 3 months, and then totally dropped it?

Thanks for any opinions.

you can use it, then if apple sends you c&d forcing to transfer to them - say- you need that and that amount of money for your time associated with transfer- totally legit IMHO

I had a Warner Brothers TM Domain, and they offered to pay reasonable registration and transfer fees. I presume that amount would have been $70 or less at the time. I transferred the domain and thanked them for pointing out my error.

I won't invest any time or effort in a TM domain in the future.

does it get traffic? otherwise how easy of "blackhat" profit are you going to have?

you are taking a major risk legally and with your time. if you dilute the name by any degree you can be held responsible for the associated costs.
