Hi

I've come across two websites with exaxtly the same template design and content. Both sites have different domain names.

How can I tell if:
- these are two seperate instances of the same website, each with their own domain name
- or one instance of the website with the second domain cloaked so that it appears two sites exist that are the same.

hope that makes sense
thanks

hi johnn

thanks for the suggestion but i know the content and template are exactly the same I just want to know if both sites are hosted on seperate domains (ie if there are 2 instances of the same site online) or if there is only one instance of the site hosted on one domain and if the other domain is a forward cloak so that it appears there are two instances of the same site.

Hope that makes sense.

When I enter the two urls into copyscape the result of each was
No results found for....[insert same homepage title for both].

Thanks

Check the hosting....the ip of the hosting.
If its the same hosting server that the guy could of just parked one domain to have two domains having the same site.

thanks

checked out http://www.checkpagerank.net/ but it on gave page rank info for both sites (zero).

Did a Traceroute for both domains and both have the same final IP
xx.xxx.xxx.xx AS22090 RMH-11

But does this mean one of the domains is cloarked? Couldn't there be two sites hosted on the same server.

Though doing a traceroute indicated one of the domains may be cloaked it doesn't establish this nor does it establish which one is cloaked...

I didn't think if would this difficult to establish if a domain is cloaked!

Thanks for your suggestions.
