Are you seeing black or red?

Is 2009 your best year yet?

Did you make more at 'domaining' than at your day job?

Inquiring minds want to know. :)

Best,

Ended in the red - big time (domain sales and parking) but I did make my largest sale (which is a laughable amount to most people) and made my two largest purchases (which would also be laughable amounts).

But I still think 2009 was my best year so far. I learned a hell of a lot more than I knew in previous years and think my parking to mini site / blog strategy is working out (I just need to find the focus to do more sites).

Revenue is slowly climbing (one site actually made me about $300 this year - which I'm very happy about - the rest are below $50 - all below $100 total).

I've acquired a lot of good domains this year (hence the red) whcih I'll love to develop (but again, I'll need to find the focus for that ;) ).

No, I didn't make more than my FT job but at least with this $$$ I don't have to worry about my wife sneaking some of it from me. :D

Not to bring religion into this however, I do feel very blessed.

Yes I am in the black.

Yes 2009 has been my very best year (I started in 2004).

Still part-time and learning ways to earn income from domains, so I don't have to rely only on selling them. Picked up some nice .ca's in drops this year.

As far as domains purchased, very good year

No

~ I have looked at this year very positive considering I just recently started getting serious with domaining, buying high-priced domains and think about tomorrows value rather than right now. Don't get me wrong, I have made some pretty nice sales with great ROI, but I am investing more atm than selling... My goal is to dev as many sites as I can in the next coming year including one big project I am working on.

although I acquire domains on a daily basis, because of domain sales and parking revenue, there is always more money coming in than going out

Is 2009 your best year yet?
Domaining has gotten better every year since 2005, with 2009 being the best.

Did you make more at 'domaining' than at your day job?
I stopped working (for the man) January 10th of 2008 and never looked back.
I cut myself a monthly check for roughly 2x the amount I was being paid(by the man.)

black, no and yes (I do this for a living)

2009 was a great year for me from an acquisitions point of view, picked up loads of nice names at excellent prices.

not applicable since domaining is my job

Every year is better than the last because we use reasonable set pricing, fast service, and refuse to do business with unscrupulous people.
