How do I transfer a domain?

i would like to shift my domain to another host b4 it expires. how do i do it. Is changing the nameservers the only thing i can do?

There's a difference between a "host", and a "registrar" ... though not always! First thing you do, if you want to keep it, is to RENEW it at the Registrar. Then, once renewed, talk to your new host ... and, yes, update those nameservers to the host's specifications!
