For example, a general word A
How do you think the A.net value, compare to its A.com?
A half?

hate to sounds cliche but depends on the name. keyword strength, search volume, and the amount of variations of the term etc. 1/3 to 1/15 imo.

I actually went through my portfolio today just for this post and I noticed that I only have 3 .net domains. I have my name .net (.com refuses to sell and rightfully so)... PrivateSeller.net (.com refuses to sell)... and 1 other... you'd think after doing this for so long that I would let certain biases aside (which I do occasionally) but I just do not like .net... I agree with Rob on the 1/8 to 1/12th value off a .com. Honestly I would prefer a .org that suits the extension then a .net that is respectfully so.

.net will forever remain the 1/2 I mean 1/12 brother of .com. What a bastard.

there is no percentage value between .com and .net

you get what you can get, based on the domains own merits

as a matter of fact, some domains in .net are more valuable than the same term in .com

.com is not always king

Perfect example where the .net is more valueable than the .com (including traffic etc..):

Slickdeals.net - active and very popular forum. .Com is parked.

In the case you mention the .net is more valuable due to development. Should the .com render a similar service, traffic would deviate to the .com and would surely overtake the fragile .net. In pure generic terms... .com will always out perform.

If you can give me one example of an undeveloped .net that gets more traffic over an undeveloped .com (same domain of course) I would give you kudos.
