how long do they wait payment

i lost an auction at 20-Jul-2007 12:29 PDT.

it is still pending . do you know the rule how long do they wait ?

I had one where it took about a month before the winner paid, I emailed them to ask but they just said it's not a set time and it is up to them to work it out.
