How long will the recession last, when will the recovery start?

Does anyone think the domain market will show signs of weakening, because so far it seems like good sales keep happening every week. I see lots of good names in the forum for sale at prices lower than they would have been 4 months ago, tho.

The 'experts' are forcasting a long recession, but the funny thing is these experts didn't forecast this economic downturn until it started, at least most of them anyway.

I'm going to predict things will show signs of improving middle of next year, mainly because countries like China and India that were growing will get back on track. Also, governments seem to be going all out to take whatever measures they can to ease the pain and promote recovery. I just can't see this recession lasting for years like some predict.

I believe the domain market is weakened as we speak and it has been weakened for several months now. I'm also optimistic and I think that we will see a stronger market already early 2009. There are no indications that .com domains shouldn't keep gaining in value for many years to come, so I am confident that the domain market and the domain investment niche will keep growing.

If you have available funds; buy what you can now while the bargains still last. ;)

Off Topic @ Stian ( re site in sig )
Nice name & site :) ..... Very well done

On Topic
At least 18months , due to nearly worldwide over supply of housing etc. mixed with potential of more cheap "bank/repo properties" being dumped on the market.

When will recovery start?
How can anyone know that when we haven't reached bottom, yet?

For domains...
I am getting more offers than ever before.
