I look for good lyrics in music, which is one reason why I hate the much of hip-hop (aside from a few artists). Seriously, how much can you sing about yourself and how rich and garish you are and how many women you've banged? It just gets tired and repetitive. I like my music to have some cause, and the current bunch of hip hop artists' only cause is to be the biggest douchebag they can be.

We all agree hip-hop is dead these days.
Now is Hip-Pop.
But there was some great artists in past with a message.

Check out Greckoe - German-born Greek rapper :D
Oh, gotta play that Greek card, eh?

Guess I would be hard pressed to find a French Rapper.

OUI, OUI, OUI!
NO, NO, NO!

The same way Rock went in the 80s.
Indie rock is still good though. Indie rockers haven't lost the essence of writing good lyrics.
