Italy did that in July 2005, right when I was planning a trip. And this was ALL indoor public buildings...offices, bars, pubs, nightclubs, etc.Here in greece smoking was banned from most indoor places since the beginning of July. We 'll see how it goes!
I travel quite a bit and can tell you that A LOT of folks in many parts around the world still smoke like fiends...
The person caught smoking in a public building got a 50 euro fine. The establishment or building owner who permitted smoking in a public building received a 2500 euro fine.I wish they had banned it from ALL indoor public places here as well! It's stupid because cafes and bars under 70 square meters can get a smoking permit.. And I can't see the point of this :?:
