Let's say there is a domain name valued at $100,000.
I add US to it as a prefix, ie, USLoaning.com (just an example).
As a rule, what do you feel the resulting value is in regards to the original? 10%? 5% (10K, 5K)? This is, of course, assuming your market is in the United States :)
Thanks.

The problem with prefixes is that there are so many of them - and they have to comepete with sufixs to. Add to that diferent tenses and etc. When you get tired of all that - add the TLDs factor :)

It's a very hard question to answer really, but value is in the eye of the buyer or eBuyer in this case :)

Thanks for the reply, DC. I wasn't clear enough. I'm speaking specifically about the US prefix in this case.

I think that since .us came out it kinda made these types of Domains worth less then before, if they even had any real value to begin with.

Please give your particular situation. The example you used, USloaning, is a $0.

judging by the names i have registered with prefixes like I and E

it drops the value quite a lot.

i bought etvguide.net recently and if i had managed to buy tvguide.net the difference in value would have been at least $200-300 so id say the prefix affects it quite a lot
