dont assume you are the only one. Just watch the auction...I have occasionally had a situation where I thougth I was the only one, and then at the last minute, a bidder ...waiting ...comes and starts bidding.

POOL IS CRAP....

anyway where in my pool account does it show how many people has backordered the domain. is the backorder a private auction or public?

unlike namejet it show how many people have backordered the same domain. then it enter a private auction for 3 day.

just switch the company you backorder with...don't waste your time getting fired up about a backordered domain.

Pool isnt that bad imo. Never had any "big" issue with them.

It only means you were the best/first bidder when the auction started.

You can see how many bidders are in your auction somewhere on Pool however

Yeah...I prefer to loose the name than to use Pool...My experience has been nothing but bad with them. Frankly, I have found that they are not that good of a drop catcher anyway unless you alert them that U want the name...just let it drop...and get it.

I backordered a name at Pool on Friday, 1/2 hour before the 2PM ET deadline, but somehow I didn't get into the auction for the domain.

So I sent them several emails over the weekend about it, but still haven't heard back yet, and the auction will be over in a couple of hours.

Very frustrating. Good thing there are several backorder alternatives out there.
