Hi,
I want to acquire a name which is not listed in any aftermarket but is registered since 1999. This company is not using the name at all since its registration and the domain is parked since then. It also have a very little
traffic, so i dont think they would have been monetizing the traffic. This company owns about 250 domains including this one.

I need help from DNF community about how to acquire this name. Should i use some third party broker service like , sedo's or networksolutions? Or should i directly contact them.

Please help.

Thanks

give the negotion work to some senior like DG or professional like sedo if its really an important acquisition for you, if its a name you can afford to do without go with the email way.

Do not use sedo...they will screw it up for you...

Frankly, you should just ask them if the name is for sale...if they own 250 names...they may be a domainer to some extent.

I would not use a broker... they may think you are some sort of end user with deep pockets that wants to remain anonymous.
Contact them via E-mail to begin with.

When sending emails you'll probably get a better response if you add something that makes it sound unautomated.

I get pretty low response from emails because I send out

"Hi,

I'm interested in your domain, domain.com, is it for sale? Let me know.

Dan Anderson"

Because I can't be bothered to give them some long winded sob story or my entire plan for development, but I know a lot of the bulk emailers send out really simple emails like that. And anyone with a couple hundred domains is bound to see such emails more than once.
