We have a website that has been on the go since 1994 under the name ********online.com. The first part of the Domain is the #1 keyword search for the subject and we already rank #1 in google for that search term.
We have recently acquired the domain without the "online" tagged at the end of it, which would obviously be a stronger Domain that the present one.
The thing is, we do not want to lose the "online" part from our identity as it has become well established as part of our "brand" in the last 13 years, not to mention the work we've put in getting our #1 ranking on it and the thousands of links out there that come to our existing site.....changing to use the new domain as our primary URL isn't a real option.
I guess my question is....what would be the best thing to do to allow us to fully utilise the strength of the new domain whilst keeping everything else we have as is. Obviously the new domain is pointing at our current one, but I feel that their is a lot more we could be doing to get benefit from it.
Hope all that makes sense....
