Hi, all:

I've decided to actively sell as much domains as I can this year.

I'm starting, specially with domains for which there are already similar registered domains.
I have lots of that, say, I have a .com, for which there's an active website in the .net or .org.
Other cases I have a keywordkeyword.com, for which there's a website with a slashed version...
Or where a current website is hosted in a plural which sounds good, for which I got the singular version of the keyword, or the other way around.

So, the question is, how to approach these potential customers?
To start with, I kind of think they hate me already... having to try to grow a website in a crappy name....
In the other side, for some of these names I didn't have an offer, which make me think, they went directly to register without even think, or even try to get the "right" domain.

What would you do? Which tactic would you choose?

First, make sure your domain is not taking advantage of their website.
For example, if your domain is parked, then, make sure it doesn't display any ads about their website
as it may be a good reason for UDRP.

Then, just send them simple email asking if they are interested.
Don't mention how much at initial email.

Hi,

Thanks for your opinion.
These domains are quite generic, hardly see an UDRP coming.

And yes, I also thought not mentioning the amount in the initial email was a good idea, because this way, I will know who responded because he is really interested regarding the price.
Now, if later, after showing interest, nothing happens I know it is because I asked too much.
:)
