I am sure most of you are tired of selling names to each others and making nickel and dime for profit.
Everyone know that you can sell names to end users and make more money but the $1,925 question is how.
I would like to share what I have done. My technique may or may not work for you but it does not hurt to give it a try. I don't send spam emails to solicit the sale.
1. Many parking sites let you have the option to sell the name. Save the email address when someone making an inquiry about the name. They may not buy at this time but it shows they are a potential buyer in the future. Try to contact them once a month after find out who they are and what they are looking for.
2. Contact your local IT/Web design companies in your area. Introduce yourself to them and let them know you are in the domain business. They are the best middle man that you can find to close the gap between the end user and you. Be professional and offer commission to them if they help you sell the names.
The collection of contacts from #1 and #2 will be the good resources for you to open your end user market.
I sold 1 3 letter us for 2K a couple of weeks ago - another 3 letter us for 1K - currently in escrow transaction - I bought them at $49 each.
Last month I sold a cc name that I paid $29 for $800 to a consulting company in FL.
Feel free to share your experience here.
Thanks,
John
