Have you noticed that our reported membership rolls have been reduced from over 2,000 to a little over 1,400? Looks like GregR is clearing out all of the deadwood, double identities etc. We're leaner and meaner :) .

I totally missed that thread. Just saw the membership count today and got an uncomfortable feeling that everyone was leaving without telling me. It would be just like you guys! :)

nothing wrong with a little house keeping.. and cleaning up the "dead weight".. the forum is only as strong as it's member participation. Keep up the great work.

In a Charleton Heston voice: "DNF Bucks are made from CEO_AIS!"

Too funny

>gregr: 1,279 inactive user names have been deleted so far.

So gregr is NOT selling DNForum.com in the near future. LOL! :D A tough but wise move which actually consolidates DNForum.com's member base and therefore boosts the value of this web property in the longer run.

Typically, a decline in membership marks the demise of a forum.

Gregr,

Many USENET groups suffered and ultimately met their demise from similar management techniques. Fairness and a firm grip promote a healthy exchange of ideas, imagination, commerce and member continuity. Irrational and inconsistent management practices serve as a catalyst for members to seek an alternative solution.

I commend you and personally appreciate the time, effort, and expense that you put forward to make the DNForm a success. We [ALL] owe you a debt of gratitude for your generosity and efforts. However, IMHO, your recent management decisions are questionable in the “eyes” of the membership.

missed a days deletions. More like 1,376 deletions.

Gregr,

You deleted my younger brother’s account. He's in Europe and has been unable to attend the Forum. He purchased a domain from you late last year.

I think it's time you had a girls sub-forum - there are too many males here.
