When you couldn't even sell web-based.com for $300 (I mean 3 years ago, not now), you'd HATE ALL hyphenated names.

If you use hyphenated domain names correctly - honestly, they add greater SE visibility. I always get the hyphenated version of domain names that I want stronger control over.

OVT doesnt do hyphens, they count as a <space>

About hyphens, I never get high in SEs :( So I hate em, although my site has the worst domain ever, including a hyphen

One good thing, companies LOVE hyphens, but when a company wants you hyphen name, your usually looking @ a C&D, not a sale..

It appears to me that they count hyphens considering I got the above results from their keyword tool. To a search engine thislongword.com is just thislongword. Now it will find "this" in thislongword.com but it won't give it as good as a point value as the "this" in this-long-word.com. Now content will overcome this and I have done this with my hosting name. Some 15 year old decided he liked my name so he went a registered jolt-host.com and at one time he was getting a better positioning but luckily I have a little more experience in these things than he.

I think it just looks plain ugly as a branding tool.

Imagine this site was dn-forum.com.
