xaxa Same here.........here is what I sent to ther disp team :

Dear Sirs,
I have recieved the email below, seems that there was a Legal dispute
for this domain...ok I can understand this ...what's I DON't understand is
that you got $29 out of my credit card WITHOUT notifying me.
I don't interested keeping this domain and don't want go over this
legal dispute...will just give this domain !
This is annoying..pls refund the money to my card, give the domain to
the one claiming has the rights to (if it is Yahoo group) and NEXT time
there is such issue notify your clients.
I have 2-3 legal disp for other domains on other registrants and they
ASK before charging my card.
YOU DIDN'T
Don't want to start trasfering my domains out of you..I am a reseller
after all but this policy is quite stupid. So if someone who has money starts a disp after all my domains will charge me 300x29 without even notifying me before !!!!

Pls procced with the refund and give the domain away.

waiting their answer ...ok ...where to move domains ?
someone post a referrer link to get some $$ out of my transfers :)
to a good reseller system ...(NOT ENOM)

Move them to Moniker, very secure.

I know they'd give you a good deal with that many names.

You could contact matthew @moniker.com. Matthew is DNF member Chipmunk here. He's a great guy.

The name's with WWD, a Go Daddy "sister" company.

Unfortunately they won't refund you until they receive notice that: a) the
potential dispute has been resolved, and b) you've actually won it. If you do a
chargeback, they'll take the name away from you.

They are actually notifying you, albeit a bit "late". %+|

Going by that, however, you're better off moving your remaining names out.
Fast.

I second the Moniker vote. Anyone with 300+ domains should be at a secure registrar that doesn't screw you every chance they get. Monte is the CEO of Moniker and a solid member here. I never have problems that don't get solved asap. Anyways good luck on the legal fee but imho you should simply start the process of moving. God help you if your account is every compromised.

I just got this email, and very dispointed about it. I already built this name for 8 years and they just simply grab from me. B***th. Do you think that i will win if i go for court.? My domain is already locked by the f***** registrar.

Pls help.

"Thank you for contacting us. The domain YAHOOTOON.COM has been named in
a
legal dispute filed by YAHOO! Inc. As a result, the domain has been
placed
on registrar-lock and will remain locked until we are directed
otherwise by
the court. We have also charged a $29 fee for processing the legal
dispute.
You may review the Registration Agreement for more information
regarding
administrative fees at

You should receive notice of the complaint within the next few days.
You may
wish to seek outside legal counsel for assistance in defending the
domain.
You may also wish to review the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution
Policy at the link below:"

Another one of these threads ... GoDaddy at it again.

I didn't realize the policy effected their resellers too, though it seems obvious in retrospect ... GD resellers should be upset because this will discourage people from using them too.

Ron

Come to think of it, perhaps GD should add UDRP processing fee to its already crowded order menus ... perhaps offer a bulk pack like 80 pre-paid UDRPs legal processings for like $1995.

No one can really tell until you reach that point.

The site's still up, though, and the domain's on registrar-lock.

Hmmm, isn't the domain supposed to be placed on registrar-hold and website/
email access disabled pending resolution? Or was someone amiss?

I really dont care if i just buy the domain in a couple of days or month, but the domain is already develop and at almost SE. I got 3-4k hits perday. Look like YAHOO inc is take advantage of this satuation and they are surely think they will win for the legal action.

I am thinking that if i have domains like YAHOOSUCK.com or YAHOOB***H.com or YAHOOS**T.com, or even YAHOOM**********R.com, do you guys think that they will thake the legal action for that.

I am really disappointed with this satuation. The problem is, i dont have money to fight them. If i am millioniare or billionaire surely i can kick thier A** badly.

Yahoo challenged Yahooka.com several years ago (before UDRP existed, from what I recall) and backed down - they worked out a settlement (I know the owner) and to this day yahooka.com (a cannabis related site) still functions.

I'm not an attorney, but from a cursory look of your current site, you may have a fighting chance ... question is do you have at least $3K to spend?

Regardless, if you want to have any decent chance of prevailing, be sure to respond to the complaint - that costs nothing, and who knows, you may get lucky ... Yahoo is likely counting on you not responding at all.
