When my buddy is done going to the bathroom you can borrow his tweezers.

Ouch! I once got one right down the middle of my nail bed, I have to wear a fake nail on that one finger because the nail is still split in half and never grows right.

morning all :)
- its my left pointer finger- not all that important
- hubby was sleeping-
- interesting on the glue thing, i will have to try that once the head of the splinter emerges
- it is very sore because it is right in the bend of the finger, and without a splint, well you cant help bending
- jdk- its a splinter,not a horror movie

Tease it out with a sharp pin. Put the pin in the blue part of a gas flame first.

If it is not deep your body will eventually push it out as the layers of your skin shed away.

If you can withstand pain, I usually just stick the needle in as far as I need to get under it and pry up.

Yes, we are all here for you, but to be honest, I'm not really in any pain right now. Except for the bleeding in my brain from studying for finals, but that will pass in about

I think stress would work a splinter out, maybe you should try that. Go to college after being out of school for 5 years. :eek:k:

My husband gets these a lot when he's doing woodwork.

Tweezerman makes a tweezer specially designed for removing splinters, Go to almost any Beauty supply store that sells Tweezerman and they should have them, you can see what it looks like at the URL below.

http://www.ulta.com/control/product/~product_id=1901356

Good luck!

wow- you can get great splinter advice on a domains forum! i soaked my hand in warm water while watching a few episodes during the miami ink marathon- and the skin was soft enough to pull up with a needle, and pull it out.
much better now :)
