A couple months ago I could not log into my account. They said that somehow a hold was placed on my account.
They did not know why and released the hold.
A few days ago I could not log in again. I was told that the management will no longer be servicing my account. They refuse to give me any reason.
I actually have a credit in the account and they said that they would be sending a refund check "as soon as possible".
Regarding the "store credit": I "purchased" about $800 worth of .pw domains from their "Domains For Sale". Since NO .pw domain can be "owned" or sold or even used by putting up a web site or parking page, the .pw extension is worthless to me. I complained and asked for a refund since I did not actually BUY anything from their "Domains For Sale" list. They gave me a "store credit" because they don't issue reunds.
Regarding the ban: I have posted many times on the domain boards about this .pw situation and I am sure that this is why Pool.com banned me.
So, (if you care about your Pool.com account) be careful about what you say about Pool.com because they will ban you.
Do I care? Not really. Pool has a lot of terrible registrars and I hate the thought of bidding against myself so I only backorder names at Pool when I really want a domain.
Add this rotten user experience to their current low success rate and I could care less that they banned me... as long as I get MY money back.
Pool sucks. They ban me without notice or reason and still have my money.
Must be a wonderful place to work!
Use caution when approaching the Pool.
