Is this the case for others? 1 min you get $1,000 in your paypal. Next min you have $100 left :cheeky:

Seems to happen to me alot of the times. I think i spent about $800 today!

The addiction of buying domains / websites seems to be too much. Just can't stop myself when i have money to buy nice sites / names :-(

Maybe i'll start a domain addict group for those seriously addicted to registering / buying domains!

An easy way around this is to not link your main bank account to your paypal account. That way you can't waste all your money :)

But then i will kick myself if i miss a good deal :-( seems like a non stop cycle.

Also having emoney makes it worse! if its real cash in your pocker (in my case any ways) i am more careful in spending rather than when i use credit card online!

You can still type with handcuffs, doh. :cheeky:

Try buying only names that cost thousands of dollars, now that will make you lose your itch very soon.

I have that problem for 7 years now.....I have regularly bought hundreds of domains every month sometime more than hundred in a single day...........but now I stopped it 2 weeks ago....I have grabbed whatever made sense to me.......don't find many more that I like anymore.......I will only buy one or two per week that really make sense.....In fact haven't bought any domain in last 1 week......Its time to start generating some nice profits using what we already have.

Thanks.

Wow, can I see your collection, kumar?

I buy maybe one or two domains a month, when I can afford it. I catch maybe one or two domains a month, if I can afford it. It's good when you can't afford to buy anything :-D

the money you spend on domains/sites shouldn't goto "waste" :eek:k:

...if you are making all the wrong impulse decisions you need to seriously figure out a solution! i would think that before buying something you should at least have a plan in mind or some investment strategy which will assure some return sooner or later.... cause next thing you know you will be broke.. have your internet cut off.. and no access to dnf to post on...... ouch!

Well, I have collected nice groups of domains in various high ppc categories such as: casino, loans, insurance, dating, credit, finance, grants, warranty, domains, etc

I only buy categories that I want....I don't buy just any domain.

Quality of traffic of domains is very important to me.....not quanity of traffic.

I will rather buy a domain that gets 20 uniques a month but pay $2/click than a domain that gets 200 uniques per month but pay $0.02/click.

My domains get only type-in traffic as there are no links or seo etc...never done any promotion. Its low traffic but very nice RPM...... regularly over $100 RPM. 95% of domains are bought for enduser resale purpose.

So not bad...paying for renewals and still making some....:)

Thanks.

The problem i think you have (im also like this)
(howwever im no psychologic hehe)
That when u do something ,you do it to the extreme.
Also this "monetizing" plans are present in the moment of when adrenaline is pumping i truly believe.
The thing that remains is time: )
Will we have time to develop all those domains and plans and ideas !
And at the time we take a break from work /we buying 2 domains more at dnforum huh?

The other day i was out. We went to this shopping centre. I was going to buy this new hifi system for £400. All that went into my mind was "do you know how many domains / sites you can buy with that money?"

The addiction seems to be too much. maybe i should have my internet disconnected for a while. :) Though i must say the feeling you get after a good sell. Nothing beats that first 5-10 seconds. :cheeky:

I do the same sort of thing, although I hope I'm investing it and not wasting it. It's so hard to let bargains go by if you have the money to buy them, isn't it, thinking that $300 spent now could get you back $600 in 6 months time or whatever.

I guess in part it's a question of when to ease off the throttle.

What I'm trying to do now is to start syphoning some of the income into other things such as a bit of work on the house, a bit of savings, a bit of life insurance etc, but I haven't made much progress yet :-(
