Hey guys.

I wasnt sure where to post this BUT I felt the gold cafe was the most suitable place.

I just sold all my triple premium LLLL.com for $75 a piece to one buyer.
A few months ago I sold a lot of my 'better' triple premiums for $55 to one buyer (obviously I am regretting that now).

I have heard all the negatives I.E Why LLLL.com will continue to go UP, and thus would like to here the posotives regarding my sale.
In many respects I hope now that LLLL.com stagnate, because otherwise I would be majorly annoyed :)

One of the reasons was to raise cah for other purchases, but also I have SO many names at so many registrars that it is getting complicated to manage.

Thus I'd appreciate views on why It is a good thing I sold them.
Thanks
T

depends on what you did with the money?

if you had bought NNNNN.com which looks like the new trend..

or went to bar a regular basis or buy gold which is going up every day. - I am thinking of dumping all my domains and just buy gold.

Find something that double every few days!

I sold all my LLLL.coms (around 10 of them) for 14$ each two months ago.. Those were mostly tripple premium, too. So I guess you are in much better position :)

Do you feel like it was a good deal? If not ... well then .. what to say ...

Make decisions based on the current market ... and what and where you think the market will go .. Trust your 'gut'

pronouncable llll.com's I think will do well in the long run. The other ones will hit a critical point in price and maybe even drop in the future.

$75 for a triple premium LLLL.com seems about right considering the current market prices of four-letter domains. LLLL domains will not continue to rise in value as fast as they did over the past couple of months, so getting rid of them could have been a good decision, in my opinion. It really depends on what you're going to do with the money. If you can find another investment that will yield higher short-/mid-term returns, you have definitely made the right decision.

Personally, I would rather purchase some keyword .com domains than reinvest in LLLL.com/.net domains, but it's up to you, of course. Good luck!

Ya i'm confused too. Three different people in this thread are describing domains as 'triple premium' as if this was defined in the domainer's dictionary/handbook.

k-is not generally recognised as premium so its bad example. Triple premium means that it consist from 3 premium letter+1 letter low quality.
Example: QABC.com

Advice-invest all your money in llll.com :)

When I am reselling QABC.COM on domain forum and I put this buzzword 'triple premium' in my sale thread title, there would be more hits to thread than just leaving QABC.COM as title

There is a reason to hold onto LLLL's if you can. Many are good acronyms for big companies.

A few years ago, I saw that GDIT.com had sold for $30,000 on Afternic. I was shocked and almost didn't believe it was true, but after going to the site, the sale made sense to me. GDIT is an acronym for General Dynamics Information Technology. In case you don't know, General Dynamics is a multi billion $$$ defense contractor, and GDIT is the site for its information technology division.

That's where the value is for many LLLL's, both .com and increasingly .net.

Of course there is some value for quality 4 letter .coms which can be used as acronyms, but this is not a new thing. As you said that sale happened years ago way before the LLLL.com buyout. Majority of LLLL.com are not quality and useless as acronyms. Also there are much less end users for even generic .net so I don't see any value in random LLLL.net at any point in time, past present or future...
