And for once it's not a scam!
My building's management was having an Earth Day celebration and promotion. People who worked in the buildings were asked to go to the office (voluntarily) and fill out a survey about power conservation, using the new flourescent bulbs, etc, and each person who did it would get a reffle ticket for some prizes, a sapling, an inflatable Earth Day beach ball, T-shirts etc and each person who submitted the survey got a free 60W (equivelant) energy-efficnet light bulb. Since I already use these I thought it was a great opprotunity.
I did mine and they asked about our commitment to using the bulbs, since I already use them in all of my lights I stated that (I cannot improve from that).
Well, they had two other contests that they didn't promote, the most committed before and after Earth day. Since I said all (along with one other person) I won a six pack of energy efficient bulbs (about $20 - $25 value). And they're not the crappy generic ones that Home Depot sells, they're Phillips (I haven't used theirs yet but GEs are great!!).
