All the companies that asked for a bailout, let them all drop and find their own way back up,

What do you think?

If you report on your taxes that you make less then 250k per year, you wont have to pay a Dime more in taxes (read between Obama's ears) :?:

I bet Obama hires a middle man to collect your 1000s of Dimes in new taxes.

Afraid you are correct. Unless we the sheeple do something about it, and fast, we soon may have no choice. What's burning me up right now is our guvment officially supporting a wannabee dictator in Honduras. The Supreme court / congress / people of Honduras are all in the right within their legal system, yet our official stance is for the Chavez/Castro supported ousted president? :upset:

Here are couple of quotes...

Love your country, but never trust its government.
-- Robert A. Heinlein.

No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.
The strongest reason for the people to retain the right
to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect
themselves against tyranny in government"
-- Thomas Jefferson

Grab you torch and pitchfork -- we've got some stakes to burn:

Citigroup has sharply increased interest rates on up to 15m US credit card accounts just months before curbs on such rises come into effect...

People close to the situation said that Citi, which is about to cede a 34 per cent stake to the US government as part of its latest rescue, had upped rates on between 13m and 15m credit cards it co-brands with retailers such as Sears.

Citi’s rate increases emerged on the day the government proposed legislation to create a new regulator with sweeping powers on consumer protection and a week after the bank was attacked by some politicians for raising employees’ salaries.

Holders of co-branded cards who failed to pay their balance in full at the end of the month saw their rates rise by an average 24 per cent – or nearly 3 percentage points – between January and April, according to a Credit Suisse analysis of data from the consultancy Lightspeed Research.

Bring back "Made in America" - and keep it true. Not many companies would be able to claim that today - what Harley Davidson and John Deere?

you buy everything american aye?

We try our very best to in every product we buy, But as you know many products are exclusively made ONLY in China.... Those curly energy saver light bulbs are one example.

I'm for bringing jobs back to America where they belong.. Where American products are far more superior, More expensive YES, but that's a cost I'm perfectly willing to pay.

Uhhhh... you know that you are using a CANADIAN website right now... right? So anyone only spending on "Made in America" cannot outsource their forum needs to DNF in Canada. Our use a computer, since none are made in America.

Getting back to the OP... Most of us cant do without banking or insurance... You cant drive a car in California without Auto Liability Insurance, And when your car needs Warranty servicing, theirs no other place to go than the dealer.

And if you didn't put 20% down to buy your home, you have Mortgage insurance that you HAVE TO pay each month, If you don't pay it and your home goes into foreclosure.

I understand your frustration with them accepting TARP, but most of us have NO choice.

Not all products made in China are crap Raider. If every product was manufactured in America the cost would be enormous to the average American consumer. If a American company wants to produce their goods here and can keep the price reasonable I'm all for it.....if not they will have to find alternatives like overseas manufacturing to survive.

You mean "Assembled in America". Most companies cannot manufacture in America because of the high cost associated with it.

Banks,
Auto Companies,
Insurances

All the companies that asked for a bailout, let them all drop and find their own way back up,

What do you think?

+1

What you ask for is what once was called "The American Way".

I understand your point, Perhaps I should not of used the word "All" but rather "Most"...

I've had enough bad luck with Chinese products to know that MOST of it is crappy, You cant tell me that when you buy Chinese that your not buying the same product over and over again, either because it broke, wore out or the finished deteriorated... I cant tell you the number of Garden hose nozzles I replaced, Make-up mirrors, Light fixtures, Plastic chairs, Rice cookers, The list goes on and on. Chinese products are simply NOT made to last.

We recently bought a Patio set, couldn't find one made in America so we had no choice but to buy Chinese..... We paid over $1400 for this set, and already the Wicker is falling apart, It's still under 90 days so it's going right back...

We have 4 Casablanca fans in our house, each of them is over 12 years old, all were made in the USA and have been problem free... We recently bought a new one for another room, Same brand but made in Taiwan, we paid nearly $500 for it, Not 2 months went by and the circuit board inside burned out, it took the store 6 weeks just to send a repair guy out.

And don't even get me started on Furniture, Most furniture stores import from China, same for Kitchen Cabinet stores... It may look real nice, but it's CRAP, All of it.... Not only is it poorly made but they use only the cheapest materials... I don't know about you guys, but I'd rather spend $10,000 on a nice living room set that will last a lifetime, (Made in the USA) than spend $3000 on a set that I'll have to replace in 2 years.

Yeah, it's cheap and affordable for most of us to buy Chinese, but in the long term your spending more to re-buy that product than you would for an American or German made product....We recently changed all the plumbing fixtures in our home, We went with "Grohe", which is German made, If you know anything about Grohe, you will know their made to last a life time. Now unlike the Chinese or Made in Mexico faucets, we wont have to pay a plumber $75.00 an hour to change them out every 2 to 5 years.

Disposable Chinese products such as party supplies or kids toys are OK, but for products I mentioned above, forget it.

The point is; We need to do something to bring these products BACK to America and put Americans back to work.
