On November 9-14, 2024, it.com Domains joined the ICANN81 Annual General Meeting in Istanbul, Turkiye, as a Gold Sponsor.
Our founder and CEO Andrey Insarov, Joe Alagna, Chief Strategy Officer, Tess Diaz, Director of Channel Development, Alessandro Baruffi, Director of International Partnerships, Sergey Gorbunov, Director of Registry Services, Natalija Japerte and Rolandas Japertas, Business Development Managers, and Munir Badr, Advisor of it.com Domains, represented the company at the ICANN81 (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) Annual General Meeting.
The event brought together experts from diverse fields to discuss the security and future development of the internet and the domain name system (DNS). The six-day meeting included networking events and various sessions on the work of ICANN, the next round of nTLDs (new Top-level domains), leadership, and many other topics.

Our team also presented an RSP (Registry Service Provider) offer at the ICANN81 Annual General Meeting. It’s a system for managing domain extensions. With RSP, the domain zone administrator can organize the registration of domain names and manage them effectively (by confirming, renewing, and canceling registrations). Additionally, they can connect with registrars and accept payments for domains from them.
ICANN requires their managing organizations, known as registry operators, to have a robust technical infrastructure that meets a wide range of specific requirements. This infrastructure is usually provided by dedicated backend service providers (RSPs).
Our registry system complies with all necessary standards and is free from outdated code. This means we can easily adapt it as needed, for instance, to add new or custom features.
This system was initially developed by our experts to manage the .it.com extension. We tested it ourselves, understood all the details of its operation, and improved it. Now, it.com Domains is ready to offer this system to other registries.
Our RSP doesn’t have any bugs or limitations from outdated code. It is built in accordance with all relevant industry standards. It is scalable and can be customized to meet your specific needs.

This has been the busiest ICANN meeting in many years, and we’ve done a great job promoting both it.com Domains and our newly introduced Registry Service Provider offering. We’ve met numerous registrars and domain registries and look forward to onboarding them as our valued customers,
said Sergey Gorbunov.
