A lot of businesses using this name or similar. I like it, short, brandable, has some age, some other extensions taken.
I would target mid to high XXX to end user. Reseller low to mid XX at most.

What incentive do these small business have to use the domain icecafe? None of the businesses I found even had a website.

That they don't have a website yet is a good thing - when they want one, what domain name are they going to check first?
The volume of businesses using this same or similar name would indicate that someone existing or someone later will want this name. This name also describes a relatively new niche of those cafes and bars that are actually carved out of ice.

My personal experience with short brandable business names like this one has been good. I'd give the OP $25 right now if they were interested. Like most names though, always a gamble and subject to varying opinions.

I do see your point. I see this as a very hard sell, considering the OP would have to contact each business by phone and no one likes a cold call. I tend to factor in time spent when deciding whether a name is worth pursuing, which is reflected in my valuation.

I rarely do any cold calling or even emailing - I tried that route and can flip names at about $100 that way on average, but I agree, generally not worth the effort. If I didn't have a real job though, I could hustle a few sales a day if I needed to and this is just the type of name I'd work with.

I like to just buy and hold with fixed prices set at GoDaddy and Sedo. Value certainly needs to take into account your particular domaining strategy.

I was in the auction. This one is very brandable, especially if you are going to run a chain of cafés in Iceland for example.

I guess the issue you're referring to is present in any product related domain Shane.
To the others, thanks for sharing your thoughts. Seems to be a growing market according to the trends and searches and that spelling of the word is the one they use in many countries.

I like it - thought it's for sale, so I clicked just to find out it's an appraisal thread :(.
As it is brandable, end user price could be anywhere... in the community, I'd guess low $xxx+

I like it !!! How much did you pay for it ?

Just to give you an idea, it would definitely have good chances in Greek market (the timing is bad now for Greece). Everybody (90%) drinks "Ice coffee" (frappe), where we use the cafe as coffee as well. Try to find where these searches come from, look for Greece. For end user it could go beyond xxx to low xxxx
