A. is it sleazy to reg it?
B.or is it Ok as your not supposed to post names for appraisal unless you own them.
C.or should you PM the poster and ask if he plans on reging it?

I am in this sit now and have not reg'd it but want to.

Looking for some advice. My gut says 3 but I'll most likely lose the name.

Cheers

D. Anyone posting an unregistered domain name on a public forum assumes the risk of loosing it.

Reg it and offer him the name in a pm. If it stays unreg'd for too long don't bother to reg it unless you want it for yourself.

E. Anyone who brings to the attention of the public that a good unrg'd name is posted in the appraisal section also assumes the risk of losing it :D

People shouldn't be asking for appraisals on unregistered names. To be in this business, you should know when a domain is worth minimum $7, or at the least willing to take the chance that it is.

That being said, definately C (PM the poster), and if you end up registering send him a DNF donation after registering. Remember, WHOIS data is public information and your good reputation is everything.
