ASSUMTIONS
OKay, for the pruposes of this post assume you would be using this domain name for some commercial purpose.

If you are not able to reg a .us, choose another or write (via a replypost) your country TLD if you would choose this one, ro whatever your thgoughs.

PLEASE VOTE!

This is to gauge the pssible change in sentiment among domain professionals. Stimulus provided by recent stats:

I think .biz would be my choice if it works with the Domain like Addictive said.

Try and find a different .com or maybe buy one. If that was no good I'd buy an .info. That what I did. In some cases a .net works, so I'd buy that.

For business .biz is the top choice.

Why not? It says what you do in the right way.

Hate to say it guys but .biz is dead in the water. I own some as well from the first day of registration, but that matters not :)

May I ask whats the evidence for the verdict?

I mean even New.net is still hanging in there despite their offering 4th level subdomains out on the fringes!

Poor .net - #2 to .com all these years and now falls to #2 in a race with .us. Talk about not getting any respect! I used to think I would automatically take the .net if I couldn't get the .com but I have now pretty much decided as a U.S. citizen I would take the .us instead. It has none of the baggage .net has had to carry and all indications are it will be the place to be for American entities in the years ahead (those that are not already at home on a nice .com).

.US will catch up for lots of reasons including economics, politics, and patriotism to name a few. I definitely expect many national (or even local) candidates in next election going for .US rather than .com or .org..Watch it!

Hadn't thought about that Heat, but it makes perfect sense. You know everfy politician is going to try to play the patriotism card. It'll probably just be a scramble to see which one latches onto the idea first. That will certainly help .us recognition in in 2004 (what am I saying - those clowns will start campaigning right after Christmas!) :)

P.S. You probably shouldn't have said that - now we'll have a mad speculative scramble to reg all of the political .US names a la yesterday's dotless kids.us handicapping.

I think you are missing two options: all and none.
If I really liked the name AND wanted to develop it I would buy all of them.
