Probably because their only target audience would be me!
I live there.

I picked up a couple, after thinking it over a while.

Yeah it pretty sums up everything and the same holds true for most of the exotic ccTLDs :-D

I did not register any dot im's myself, but I feel positive about the dot im extension.

I like the way that they company did not hype the extension, just made it available for those who wanted to register names.

.IM anyway has a good potential. Just placed my Offshore.IM here for auction to see if any interest exists

I almost grabbed a .im, seen the price and said bump this I'm out... It is my belief that this extension has outpriced itself for no reason. That is not a slam on anyone that purchased domains, I just haven't seen to much success with overpriced domains.

the contact for refunds (as I have also been burned) is Lauren Stewart email : [email protected] you'll need the domain name and first and last 4# of the CC used..I'm sure the invoice # would help

I have heard on several forums the gov of IM taking domains away this will hurt them in the long run, imagine building a website around a great name only to have gov take it away, just out of curiosity what type of gov do they have, most gov's are so full of red tape they take years to do anything for these people to ose their domains so quickly it seems they have a system in place for this allready, some of the names i have seen posted have nothing to do with the government

When you reg the domain you are either "approved" right away or the domain is "pending gov review". I don't think they are taking away domains that were approved. People are probably not reading what the msg say's during their checkout.
