Indy 500 to Feature GoDaddy.com ABC Commercial
Scottsdale, Arizona - (Cheap Web Hosting Directory) - May 24, 2007 - GoDaddy.com, is participating in Sunday's Indianapolis 500 race, with a new custom Indy advertisement, starring its ''Go Daddy Girl,'' Danica Patrick.
The company known for its racy commercials not only sponsors auto racing's hottest female driver, it is also this year's broadcast sponsor for the legendary race and is drafting, from both to reach a new audience.
The new 30-second commercial starring Ms. Patrick, includes a straightforward approach, quickly produced after Ms. Patrick's team rejected a story line featuring Ms. Patrick physically ''back-to-back'' with original Go Daddy Girl and Playboy cover girl, Candice Michelle. Go Daddy maintains that it is happy to relay its message about teamwork and getting online ''fast and easy,''without playing the ''sex card.'' That having been said, Ms. Patrick was included in Maxim men's magazine, ranked 69 on its Hot 100 list. She's also on the Victoria's Secret sexy list for 2007 and has been credited with rekindling excitement for Indy racing.
Regardless of the outcome of Sunday's race, Ms. Patrick will be remembered as a part of history. This year, an unprecedented three women have qualified to compete. Two years ago, Patrick made history as the first woman ever to lead the Indy pack when she held off the other drivers for 19 laps. Sunday, she's set to start in the eighth slot.
Ms. Patrick remarked, ''This is my first Indy 500 as an official Go Daddy Girl, and this is the Super Bowl of auto racing. I intend to drive with passion and power.''
Bob Parsons, CEO and Founder of GoDaddy added, ''Danica's passion is part of what makes her a great fit for Go Daddy. She's hot. She's edgy. She's fast. She's quintessential 'GoDaddy-esque.' Go Daddy Girl Candice Michelle and I are looking forward to cheering on Danica trackside.''
Ms. Michelle stars in many of Parsons' ads, including the controversial 2005 Super Bowl ad, said to be one of the most successful in the big game's broadcast history. Meantime, Ms. Patrick's more subtle version of a Go Daddy commercial is scheduled to run during the ''Indianapolis 500 broadcast presented by GoDaddy.com,'' which airs live Sunday, May 27 at 1 p.m. EDT on ABC TV. Go Daddy's Indy 500 broadcast sponsorship includes aerial shots and in-car views from Ms. Patrick's car during the big race.
