StayingHard.info (no, it's not a porn site :cheeky:)

It's an NHS health related site warning of the effects of smoking, in particular impotency. Stayinghard.info is a mini 'intro' type site which leads to their main site, uglysmoking.info.

It's worth noting that they chose to use .info over .co.uk, .org.uk, .net and .org (all of which they own).

The governments (of several countries) seem to be notorious for this. First they buy a sub-par domain name most likely using a government employee who is clueless about branding and domain names instead of a knowledgeable firm. Then they shell out huge bucks to AD and PR agencies to promote this sub-par domain name.

Then "cyber-squatters" like me profit from their stupidity.

Hmm, not sure your point is valid in this instance.

They chose .INFO because it fitted the subject matter best and registered surrounding extensions to rule out traffic loss to other extensions, the people who were behind it did a pretty good job from what I can see. how would you have done things differently?

stayinghard? It thought it would be those viagra/cialis websites..

they could've at least pick a better name.

I agree the name "stayinghard" isn't great but it works quite well with the Ad, which is quite comical with an underlying serious message.
