would someone please post a link to the thread where there was a poll asking people to rank domain extensions in order of value? I want to know what the majority consensus was in .info versus .net. (For example, I am a cheapskate and found a name I dig available in both, I'm only going to register one.)
This is a rather academic word I'm registering... net and info both apply.

Actually that poll wasn't about ranking extensions in order of TODAY's value - it was about which extensions were best to invest in for FUTURE value. In that poll both .INFO and .US finished far ahead of .NET.

This is the order of how I like them and how I would use them if I was making a website:

.com
.us
.net
.info
.biz
.org

if .net is more valuable now, why should .info supercede it? is .net, after all this time, unfamiliar outside of the U.S.?

So far I've sold three .INFO domains this year at an average price of $2600....so don't say .INFO gets you $0....it all depends on what you've to offer...;)

I seen a TV commercial yesterday with a .info Tld. First time I'd actually seen it used other than on DNforum. I can't remember for the life of me, what the commerical was about! If I see it again, I'll let everyone know!

I like .com
.sex.....yes there really is a dot sex Tld.
.kids
.us
.net
.cc
.info
.org
Not necessarily in that order...depends on application.

But when companies grow they look for a .com for international trading.

Surely .info is better for information sites, and .net is better for internet related services and blog owners.
