Can anyone give me an opinion as to what this domain name informationtechnology.net could be worth or developed into.

great piece of name.
perhaps you can develop it into an IT recruitment site?

hard to value in my opinion, probably worth something but rather long and ordinary extension, not sure that corporates would really be very interested. Maybe its worth $100 on ebay, though perhaps I'm underestimating a bit.

The name is quite lengthy and a .net. If I had to place a value on it, it would be in the range of $50-200

Come on you guys, personally I don't have $500-$1,000 right now to my name but for a medium-sized struggling company, much less a giant corporation that kinda money wouldn't keep the coffee-maker running. Even though I'm a com kinda guy, if I owned informationtechnology.net (for this name easy second best to the com) I surely wouldn't let it go for anything less that that!

i assume some of you don't know what information technology is by the way you expressed your opinions, bennoart etc.

I suggest you do some research on information technology.
Also suggest you take a look at overture's results on it, it may surprise you (little benno).

My turn now...
Damn fine domain, though long it cannot be helped due to the GREAT superb keyword, great extension (not dot com, but 2nd best ext. IMO).

I never appraise an amount on names, because its stupid (only real pros know)
nevertheless, its one of the best .nets around.

I know what it means and I agree with you NIC that it is a really good domain. However it might be a bit too broad for a business. Nevertheless, it goes straight to the point and all I can say is if I were to buy any .nets in the future, I surely would like this one.

Good luck!!

And what does that prove?
There have been 26507 searches on overture last month for the term "information technology".
THAT proves something.

Hi. It's a good .net.

I like it. Should fetch between $ 200-300.

great name, but difficult to sell. $100-200 for reseller, $1K for end-user.
