Instate ~

\In*state"\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Instated; p. pr. & vb. n. Instating.] To set, place, or establish, as in a rank, office, or condition; to install; to invest; as, to instate a person in greatness or in favor.

But I do not think that it is a common term in this context; or is it?

Am I right in thinking that the term 'Instate' is used in the context of 'within state' in the US? Upon searching for "Instate" using Google it yields over 50,000 results, many of which are telecom companies using the term "Instate" for local phone rates; is it a common term in the US?

Either context works rather well as a .net 'me thinks'... which surprisingly enough I have got my hands on! Does anyone see any value in Instate.net ~ all feedback most welcome!

Cheers,

Syd.

Yes, it also means within a state. Maybe it could deal with instate rates on long distance calling, purchases, etc. Perhaps even a site pertaining to Indiana state, who knows.

Do you think that Instate.net has any resale value, undeveloped?

College students pay lower tuition fees within their home state at state-sponsored universities and colleges.

However, I don't see how this could make any domain connection, it was the first thing that came to my mind though and had to convey it.. tuition.INSTATE.com

Pressing my self harder, I think this domain could be used for a hosting site of free subdomains. It has a some potentially good sound for its takers as subdomain "instate" residents:

yourdomainname.instate.com

A bit psychedellic but doable in a wordly "state".

Thanks for the suggestions; I hadn't thought about it in a psychedelic context ~ but I like it! & Without knowing it you've sent me off on a very useful tangent for a project that I am currently developing ~ Cheers.
