Charts in ICANN report reveal interesting trends.

ICANN published the beta (pdf) of its gTLD Marketplace Health Index today. Here are some graphs I found interesting.

These graphs only refer to gTLDs, not ccTLDs.

Growth in second level domain additions was slipping until new top level domains were released:

Geographic top level domains are more popular than IDNs, at least in terms of registration volume:

Domain owners are losing fewer cybersquatting arbitration cases than they used to. Not only is the number down compared to 2012-2013, but 2014-2015 include the new URS cases!

Here’s the percentage of time the domain name owner loses a cybersquatting arbitration case. (Keep in mind the latter two years include URS cases.)
