Meanwhile, in a world outside of France, the European courts wants to force non EU named products to cease using European brands.

Presently, the focus is on Italian Cheeses. The thought of having cheese products named Parmesan, Gorgonzola, and feta produced in Wisconsin is a peccato mortale. But the real sacrilegio is those cheeseheads from Wisconsin are winning international awards for their products over the Parmesan made in Parma, the Gorgonzola made in Gorgon, and the feta made in, well...goats and sheep.
