search the net you can still find older versions of invision (which work great) that are free. 1.3.1 Final and up (I think) are the only ones that are not free.

Yes phpBB installs right out of cpanel I just set one up today. ChicagoCubs.cc

Seems OK. Did a few minor mods and added some ads. Not bad for free. They have a community board as well. http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/

I am so happy, and used to Invision though :-(

I guess I will buy a license or two.
