Things like credit card records and chat room transcripts are more meaningful.

I'm pretty sure you cant be arrested for search Google for something.

However, if you visited child porn sites and downloaded photos that's illegal.

And while looking at animal porn is...strange to say the least, I don't think that's illegal at all.
