It's definately the best for soon-to-expire domain search (expiring within 6 days), but there's tons of other deleted domain searches (free).
Also, something I just tried out yesterday, subscribe to
www.domainsweekly.com $60/yr, and this is where supposedly LocalWhois gets thier domains from. Since the list is all unorganized, all you'd need to do is copy the long list of soon to expire domains from domainsweekly into a text file, then load it up in something like Excel, use it's filter options to only display domains expiring on a certain date, and poof you got your soon to expire lists, and you saved a boat load of money. And in the case you wanted to use LW advanced search options, like domains with a certain amount of characters, keyword searching, hyphens/numbers filter, you can download LocalWhois' free search software (windows) from
