When appraising a domain, is there a general rule of thumb that can be followed when setting a value based on google results?

example: if it is a commonly enough used word/words and when searched with "quotes" returns more than 'x' results then it's likely worth....

anything like that?

not really... there is a lot of different factors that go into a valuation of a domain and the google or yahoo results aren't the things which you should be focused on in the first place.
